The Aguardente Vínica Matriz Lourinhã XO is produced in the Lourinhã Demarcated Region, the only Demarcated Region in Portugal and one of only three in Europe dedicated exclusively to the production of wine brandy.

Distilled in a continuous system from the Fernão Pires, Vital, Tinta Miúda and Castelão grape varieties, it is aged in French Limousin oak, Portuguese oak and chestnut barrels, thus presenting a topaz colour and greenish teardrops. The nose reveals an intense aroma of citrus fruit, vanilla, nuts, wood and smoke. On the palate, it has a generous body, smoothness with a slightly sweet touch, spices and a persistent finish.
