After careful distillation, this brandy was aged, forgotten and quiet, for over 40 years in Portuguese and French oak barrels. The prolonged ageing in these casks has given it a golden amber colour. The notes of dried fruits and spices, harmonised with the perfection that only time can achieve, combine with an elegant and complex velvety texture.

The Quinta do Gradil is referenced in the history of Portuguese wines since 1492. However, it was only in the 17th century that vines and wine became part of the estate's economic activity. But it was in the 19th century that one of the most decisive moments happened, when Dona Maria do Carmo Romeiro da Fonseca inherited Quinta do Gradil from her father, turning it into a reference agricultural business, focusing on wine production. Several years have passed and Quinta do Gradil continues to be a Portuguese reference in the world, and is now led by Luís Vieira.
