概要

Nagahama Distillery is located north of Lake Biwa in Shiga Prefecture and is a craft distillery, which began production in 2016. The craft whiskies are sourced from unique pot stills, giving the distillates a rich, floral, and malty character.

Due to the scarcity of local malt in Japan, the Amahagan World Blended Malt series is based on blending malt from different countries, infused with different oak finishes, which are then blended with Japanese malt.

The name AMAHAGAN is derived from NAGAHAMA spelled backwards.
