Olive Oil Extra Virgin Quinta da Pacheca Madural 50cl
One of the rarest varieties of olive produced on Portuguese soil, Madural is one of those used essentially in the production of olive oil in Trás-os-Montes. Aromatically it is characterized by green notes, almond peel and dried fruits, revealing in the mouth, a sweetness harmonized with bitter and spicy notes.
Virgin olive oil is obtained from the fruit of the olive tree solely by mechanical or other physical processes, in conditions that do not alter the oil and which have not undergone treatments other than washing, decantation, centrifugation, and filtration, excluding oils obtained with solvents, with adjuvants of chemical or biochemical action or by re-esterification processes and any mixture with oils of another nature. After guaranteeing their genuineness, virgin olive oils are classified according to their quality, and may be classified in the categories of "Extra Virgin Olive Oil" or "Virgin Olive Oil".
Thus, the "Extra Virgin Olive Oil" category includes oils in which the quality is superior, possessing an intense taste and smell of healthy olives, acidity equal to or less than 0.8% and presenting no organoleptic defects.
