Olive Oil Extra Virgin Quinta da Pacheca Verdeal 50cl
The Olive Verdeal adapts well to almost all Portuguese soil, being frequent in both Alentejo and Trás-os-Montes. The olive oil obtained from this variety has a fruity profile with an evident green colour and is characterised by notes of cut grass, green tomato and fresh olives. In the mouth it is quite bitter and spicy.
Virgin olive oil is obtained from the fruit of the olive tree solely by mechanical or other physical processes, in conditions that do not alter the oil and which have not undergone treatments other than washing, decantation, centrifugation, and filtration, excluding oils obtained with solvents, with adjuvants of chemical or biochemical action or by re-esterification processes and any mixture with oils of another nature. After guaranteeing their genuineness, virgin olive oils are classified according to their quality, and may be classified in the categories of "Extra Virgin Olive Oil" or "Virgin Olive Oil".
Thus, the "Extra Virgin Olive Oil" category includes oils in which the quality is superior, possessing an intense taste and smell of healthy olives, acidity equal to or less than 0.8% and presenting no organoleptic defects.
