Aguardente Bagaceira is the result of the distillation of post-fermented grapes, which is called Bagaço. This grape spirit presents a fine and elegant aroma, in which the characteristic fruit of the Bagaço is well involved in balsamic wood nuances conferring complexity.
The Caves da Cerca are born in the early twentieth century from the personal project of Albano Carvalho Sardoeira, owner of several vineyard plots in the Amarante municipality. Degree in physical and chemical sciences, decides to produce the resulting wine production from their farms, building a small winery on his property which has a eighteen century house - Casa da Cerca. In 1946 register the brand with the same name, which takes to the name of the winery and would later inspire the corporate name of the company. Their wines and spirits "Casa da Cerca" quickly gain prestige and notoriety and get to win prizes at exhibitions and local and national fairs and even outside the country.
