Romitting the old paradigms, Quinta do Côtto was at the origin of a revolution that led the most enlightened winegrowers to bottle and sell their Quinta Wines directly in the market. It was in the 1960s, that the first Quinta wine of the Douro region was born, Quinta do Côtto, whose success led Montez Champalimaud to expand its portfolio, first with Quinta do Côtto Grande Escolha, and then creating a new brand, Paço de Teixeiró, in the Vinhos Verdes region.

Today, a Quinta Wine, ensures that the wine has been carefully produced and selected by the owner of the Quinta, guaranteeing its quality, personality and authenticity, without which no good wine is a great wine.
