Explore our Vodka collectionDrink responsibly. The word vodka has Slavic origins and derives from voda, meaning "water" in several Eastern European languages, such as Russian and Polish.
Vodka is a neutral distilled spirit of clear appearance, usually colourless, without strong aromas or flavours. It is produced through the fermentation of starch- or sugar-rich raw materials, such as cereals (wheat, rye, barley, maize), potatoes — which give it a creamier texture — or even beet molasses, among other ingredients.
The greater the number of distillations, the higher the purity achieved. After this process, the distillate is purified, filtered, and diluted with water until the desired alcohol content is reached.
The origin of the raw materials, the purification method, and especially the quality of the water used are decisive factors that influence texture and mouthfeel, giving each vodka subtly distinct aromas and flavours.
What makes vodka unique is precisely its neutrality — making it an ideal base for cocktails and mixed drinks, though it can also be enjoyed neat or on the rocks. When served well chilled, the alcohol’s intensity is softened, highlighting its subtle flavour nuances.
Some producers choose to add fruit extracts or other flavourings to distinguish their products, creating aromatic variations that offer a diverse tasting experience.
