This grappa had matured in wooden casks for a long period and then it was refined in Madeira island barrels for some months. These barrels had been previously used to mature “Madeira Wines” of the most prestigious wineries. This particularly kind of passage, already tried for whiskey, and experimented by Sibona Distillery on grappa, has proven to be exceptional as regards grappa’s quality results. Its involving and fruity bouquet and unique flavour, rich and elegant with a floral aftertaste, recall those of Madeira.
