The Gróf Buttler winery was founded in the Eger region in 1999. Its oenological philosophy is to produce delicious wine according to the characteristics of the land and with as little intervention as possible. Blaufränkisch is a late-ripening red grape variety that produces red wines that are typically rich in tannin and can exhibit a pronounced spicy character. In Hungary, this grape variety has the denomination Kékfrankos and is cultivated in several wine regions, including Sopron, Villány, Szekszárd, and Eger, thus making Hungary, the country with the most hectares of vines of this variety.
