Created by Henri Martin, Château Gloria is the only one of its kind: as a 50-hectare vineyard, put together piece by piece over several years by purchasing land (exclusive to Grands Crus). The origin of the terroirs, the care taken in cultivation and vinification explain its world-renowned quality. The Gloria 2018 is a blend of about 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc, aged for approximately 14 months in oak barrels, where about 40% is first use. Medium to deep garnet-purple in colour, it is rich in aromas of kirsch, black raspberries and cassis, combined with subtle notes of unsmoked cigars and star anise. Full-bodied and juicy, it is fresh with round tannins and a spicy aftertaste.
