Herdade do Catapereiro is the name given to a range of wines produced by Companhia das Lezírias, representing the plots where the winery and vineyards are located. Sourced from specific plots, these wines express the identity of the land and the region’s winemaking heritage, reflecting the care taken in selecting the grapes and the connection to a project with almost two centuries of history.

Founded in 1836, during the reign of Queen Maria II, Companhia das Lezírias began its wine-making activities in 1881 with the planting of its first vineyards. Today, its wines reflect a strong connection between history, terroir and nature, originating from 130 hectares of vineyards nestled in the heart of the Tagus estuary, in harmony with the surrounding forest. Combining tradition and innovation, the winery blends ancestral techniques with modern technology, producing wines of unique character, marked by authenticity and a continuous dedication to quality.
