2006 Château La Fleur-Pétrus Pomerol red
概要
Château La Fleur-Pétrus is one of Pomerol's best-known wine estates. This historic estate, situated exclusively on the plateau, was named in the 18th century for its position across the 'Petrus' and 'La Fleur' localities. Established in Libourne since 1937, Jean-Pierre Moueix realised early on the excellent quality of the Pomerol appellation. Château La Fleur-Pétrus was his first acquisition in 1950.
The personality of Château La Fleur-Pétrus lies in the careful association of the famous clay terroir of the Pomerol plateau. The vineyard, situated 33 to 38 metres above sea level, draws its identity from the nuances of the soil and the elevation of each plot. Plots which, in their composition, are dominated by pebbles, tend to produce wines of great elegance, while those dominated by clay, produce distinctly velvety, dense and structured wines.
