Adega Cooperativa de Mangualde was born in the 1960s, a decade marked by the valorisation, expansion, and implementation of the cooperative spirit and values in Portugal. The Azurara Castle marks the historical identity of the region associated with its monumental heritage, with the union of the medieval name of the town - Azurara da Beira - with one of the defining symbols of the region, Our Lady of the Castle, a wine brand of this cooperative is also born.
