2016 Duas Famílias red
概要
Duas Famílias red wine is produced from the Trincadeira, Castelão, Grand Noir, Alicante Bouschet and Aragonês grape varieties, whose grapes are bathed by the continental climate of Serra de São Mamede. After manual harvest and ageing in French oak barrels for 24 months, the wine has intense notes of black fruit, spices, light toast and balsamic. In the mouth, it is a wine that fills in layers, with fine tannins well present and with a fresh and persistent finish.
Santos & Seixo is a family company, formed by two families.
Alzira dos Santos and Pedro Seixo dreamed of taking up the history of both families and dedicating themselves body and soul to wine. The dream became reality when they carried out their first harvests in the country's most emblematic regions, Douro and Alentejo, in 2010.
The project grew and today the family owns properties and produces wines in Douro, Alentejo and the Vinho Verde region. In a combination of modern and traditional, from the careful selection of grapes to the production and ageing in oak barrels, all processes are done to preserve as much as possible the genuineness of the grape.
