概要

Casa de Sarmento red is a wine produced from the Aragonês, Trincadeira and Touriga Nacional grape varieties, from the clay-limestone and schist soils of the Alentejo region. It has a bright ruby colour with notes of red fruit, floral nuances, and a slight sweetness coming from its aging in barrels. Its soft and enveloping tannins give it a velvety texture with a long and pleasant finish in the mouth.

The history of Casa de Sarmento began in 1980 with the opening of a restaurant specialising in roast suckling pig, in the Bairrada Demarcated Region. The business grew over the years and the paths branched out, without ever abandoning the House's first commitment. As a result, decades later, two new properties were acquired in the Alentejo and a third in Bairrada, becoming self-sufficient in the production of quality wines and sparkling wines, as well as olive oil and all agricultural and livestock production.
