2015 Quinta dos Lagares Touriga Nacional red

The Quinta de Lagares produced from the Touriga Nacional grape variety, presents a ruby colour with light notes of wild fruit, wrapped in a line of floral aromas, reminiscent of violets and rockroses, and harmonized with slight nuances of French oak. In the mouth it is structured, balanced and with well-rounded tannins, allowing a long and fresh finish.

Held by the Lencart family since 1920, Quinta dos Lagares is located in Vale de Mendiz, on the left bank of the Pinhão River, in the Douro Demarcated Region. With an extension of 172 acres, this property is dedicated to the production of wine and olive oil, exploring about 66 acres for planting vines with the traditional Douro varieties.

Since 2007, the couple Pedro Lencart and Isabel Sarmento lead the destiny of this beautiful Quinta, which still maintains the granite mills, installed on the ground floor of the House, which dates back to the late 18th century.

The wines produced here are the mirror image of the commitment and dedication of a family that continues to respect the ancestral methods of wine production, using the typical grape varieties of the region.
