Vidigal Wines is a producer of smooth wines and liqueurs, medium-sized and with family character, located in the area of Leiria in the center of Portugal. The origins of the company date back to the early twentieth century, a Farm founded by a Canon of the Church. Over the last century the company met a couple of owners until the early '90s the current Director, António Mendes Lopes - took over the management. Since then the Vidigal saw great changes and technological advances that now allow to produce about 3 million bottles per year. With an export rate of about 90%, Vidigal had for 5 consecutive years the best-selling wine in Norway which represented a feat never before achieved by any Portuguese product, anywhere in the world. Selling about 40 wines in more than 30 countries, Vidigal is certainly one of the most international wine companies in Portugal.
