When we started to take care of this abandoned vineyard, with its old crooked vines, we didn't really know what to expect from it but we soon imagined making a wine from there. A wine from the vine. The mixture of grape varieties was such in the vineyard that diversity was guaranteed, all that remained was to find the right point of maturation to harvest. So, we first picked the white grapes, which are mostly, in the middle of September, by hand. They waited in the cold for the first days of October when we harvested the red grapes, before going on to the cellar. The grapes were simply trampled on foot, they were left to steep until fermentation spontaneously started and were then pressed into two used barrels. The end result is a fresh and elegant straw, intense in the mouth and drunk fresh like a white or at the temperature of a red, always with great pleasure. Chinado Palheto 2019, a unique vineyard wine.
