Description

Gizruptivo Pinot Noir is an author wine from Bairrada, between the foothills of the Buçaco Mountains and the Atlantic, created to explore a distinctive interpretation of Pinot Noir. Produced under the IG Beira Atlântico classification, it follows a low-intervention approach, seeking to preserve the expression of the region’s poor, stony limestone soils.

Following artisanal vinification, the wine is aged for 8 months in French oak barrels. It displays a pale ruby colour. The nose is both floral and earthy, developing into a delicate fruit expression reminiscent of raspberry and wild strawberry, complemented by a subtle menthol note.

On the palate, it is notably fluid, with silky tannins and well-integrated oak. Flavours of tart Morello cherry emerge alongside an intermittent earthy character. On the finish, the fruit returns and lingers on the palate, highlighted by a pronounced sense of freshness.

Produced in a highly limited edition of just 483 bottles, Gizruptivo Pinot Noir challenges convention, embracing creative freedom and the singular expression of each vintage.
