Founded in 1859 by António Alves Cálem, Porto Cálem remained in the same family for four generations and has always paid great attention to the production of quality Port Wine, resulting in recognition by the entire Wine World.

With its famous range of "Velhotes" Port Wine, launched in 1934, it came to national prominence, becoming the No. 1 selling brand in Portugal, with over 3 million bottles sold every year.

Today, Cálem belongs to the Sogevinus Group, which continues to eternalize brands created five centuries ago.
