Quinta do Avelar is one of the oldest wine producers in Lisbon. Its grounds extend through the famous "caeiras", the half-slopes and valleys of clay-calcareous soils, which constitute a terroir of excellence. With an average age of more than 80 years, its vineyards have the maturity to create great wines from the oldest grape varieties of the Lisbon region.
