Description

Dark colour, with light purple rim. Young fragrance, showing notes of fresh raspberries and redcurrant with touches of leaves of tea and plum. The palate still presents something austere, showing much depth and structure. The solid and silky tannins reveal, in the end, an attractive firmness and race marked still by one magnifies explosion of fragrances of fresh red berries.

Fonseca has been part of the first category of Vintage Port wine producers since the mid-19th century. Fonseca Vintage Port wines are known for their lush fruitiness which develops great opulence and complexity with age. Their wines appeal to the enthusiast and connoisseur, perhaps more than the Vintage Ports of any other house because they are the result of inspired production and deep knowledge of viticulture and terroir.
