2007 Clos de Tart Monopole Grand Cru red
Description
Clos de Tart was founded in 1141 and is located in the village of Morey-Saint-Denis, in the heart of the prestigious terroirs of the Côte-d'Or in Burgundy. The wines are produced from a rigorous selection of Pinot Noir grapes, commonly referred to as Pinots Fins, sourced from the estate's different microclimates, through a rigorous selection of the highest quality plants. Thanks to the high average age of the vines, many of which are around sixty years old, these wines reveal the true essence and soul of these remarkable vineyards.
In 2016, aware of the responsibility of caring for these historic vineyards, Frédéric Engerer, CEO of Artémis Domaines, and Alessandro Noli, director of the estate, decided to continue the work of their predecessors, who converted the vineyard to organic farming methods, initiating the process of biodynamic viticulture, followed by Biodyvin certification in 2019. Also in that year, a new room was inaugurated with more barrels, of different woods and sizes, with the aim of further highlighting the diversity and complementary characteristics of the different subplots of this great terroir.
