Founded in 2001, Terroir d'Origem is a portuguese wine company based in Casal de Loivos, which produces and sells wines and products from the Douro region. Baton is a red wine from old vines, planted in schistous soils with granite outcrops. After the grapes are harvested, they are macerated in granite presses and undergo a prolonged fermentation in stainless steel tanks. After fermentation, the wine ages for a short period in new French oak barrels.
