Description

Pathernos Grande Reserva red wine is mainly produced from Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz grape varieties from the old vineyards of the property. It has a clean and dense ruby colour, with balsamic aromas, ripe black fruit, and lightly floral, combined with subtle toasted notes, from ageing in new French oak barrels and clay amphorae for 12 months.

Cabanas do Castanheiro is one of the new wine producers in the Douro region, which emerged as a project of the Paterno Dia family, based on the production of high-quality wines. With 17 hectares, we highlight plots such as Quinta dos Gambozinos with old vines, which originate wines of excellent quality, aromatic, concentrated, and deep, vinified in schist wine presses with foot treading and controlled temperatures, combining traditions with modernity.
