Description

Quinta do Noval Tinto Cão 2022 is a single-varietal red wine made from grapes grown on the steep terraces of Quinta do Noval, in the heart of the Douro. Following fermentation in concrete vats with gentle pump-overs, it is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, 60% new and 40% second-use.

Bright ruby in colour, it reveals a complex bouquet of red cherries, spice and delicate floral and herbal notes. On the palate, well-integrated tannins and vibrant acidity create an elegant, balanced wine with a refined, persistent finish and excellent ageing potential.

Quinta do Noval is one of the oldest Port houses and one of the most prestigious, producing most of its wines from its grapes, namely all Vintage Port wines. Noval also produces one of the most emblematic Vintages ever produced in the Douro, the Quinta do Noval Vintage Nacional.
