2016 Quinta da Côrte LBV Port
Description
Quinta da Côrte Late Bottled Vintage is produced from grapes grown in old vineyards, where traditional Douro grape varieties predominate. This Port Wine has been aged in Portuguese oak barrels and reveals notes of red fruits and mint. On the palate, it is fresh, with excellent volume and persistence.
The Quinta da Côrte estate, located in the Upper Douro, was acquired in 2013 by Philippe Austruy, who also owns Commanderie de Peyrassol and Château Malescasse. Covering around 23 hectares, the estate has undergone an investment programme aimed at achieving the level of excellence promised by its remarkable terroir.
