2016 Quinta da Lixa Reserva red
Description
The Quinta da Lixa Reserva red, produced from the Vinhão and Alvarinho grape varieties, is full-bodied, fleshy, with excellent acidity, black fruits, balsamic nuances, spices and integrated wood.
The grapes, harvested at over-ripeness, intensify the fruity notes and soften the tannins of the vinhão. The meticulous process includes total destemming, cold pre-fermentation maceration, fermentation in stainless steel vats at low temperature and ageing in French and American oak barrels for 8 months.
