Description

Meerlust Merlot is a red wine produced from the blend of Merlot - predominant -, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot grape varieties, from 27-year-old vines, harvested and selected by hand. This red wine is dark red with aromas of black fruit, such as aromas and plums, combined with notes of chocolate and spices, seasoned with the mineral profile of the soils from which the raw material comes. In the mouth, it is full-bodied and generous in silky and structured tannins. The complexity and juiciness, give this wine the ideal finish length.

Meerlust Estate is located in Stellenbosch, a premium quality viticultural area of the Coastal region of the Western Cape of South Africa. A family-owned business that began its journey into the wine world in 1756, it is currently led by the 8th generation of the Myburgh family, and is also renowned, worldwide, for the quality of its wines.
