Description

Quinta do Gradil Brut Nature is a sparkling wine produced by the classic method from two varieties that together complement each other perfectly: Arinto and Chardonnay. After aging for 18 months on its lees, in tasting, this sparkling wine reveals excellent unctuosity and complexity of aromas, combined with the acidity and freshness, typical of the grape varieties from which it is made. Being a Brut Nature category sparkling wine, its degree of sweetness is less than 3 grams per litre (g/L).

Quinta do Gradil is referenced in the history of Portuguese wines since 1492. However, it was only in the 17th century that vines and wine became part of the estate's economic activity. But it was in the 19th century that one of the most decisive moments happened, when Dona Maria do Carmo Romeiro da Fonseca inherited Quinta do Gradil from her father, turning it into a reference agricultural business, focusing on wine production. Several years have passed and Quinta do Gradil continues to be a Portuguese reference in the world, and is now led by Luís Vieira.
