Description

A ruby coloured wine with excellent intensity and elegance. Aroma full of personality, with wild berries and hints of plum and cherry. The palate is firm, with good acidity and soft tannins. Very fresh and fruity.

The first known historical references to Quinta da Pellada date back to around 1570. But it was in 1980, that Álvaro de Castro, a civil engineer, but with a passion for the world of wine, enthusiastically acquired the property, resurrecting the family tradition of wine production, forgotten for two generations.

Later, he acquired Quinta de Saes.

These two Quintas, located in the foothills of Serra da Estrela, benefit from the protection of the Atlantic winds, which provides aromatic and complex wines.
