Description

Lapso by Sidónio de Sousa is a Bairrada wine made from Baga and Merlot grape varieties grown on clay-limestone soils. It has an intense ruby colour and a young, fruity aroma with notes of wild berries and hints of forest. On the palate, it reveals good structure, with elegant acidity and freshness characteristic of Baga, tannins still present and an enveloping finish. A full-bodied and delicious wine, ideal for accompanying meat dishes and oven-baked foods.

Sidónio de Sousa is one of the great wine producers of the Bairrada region. Renowned for having among the oldest, some of the best Baga vineyards in Bairrada, he continues to make his wine traditionally, resulting in juicy, refined wines with good fruit and aged in old Portuguese oak, rare nowadays, even in Portugal.
