Description
Redoma Reserva is made with grapes from old vines, planted at an altitude of 600 metres in schist soils. Since its creation (1995), the main objective in producing this wine has been to express the character of Douro's old vines. At the end of the ageing, the best barrels are chosen, taking into account their minerality, complexity, and ageing potential. This Redoma Reserva Branco 2018 fermented spontaneously in French oak barrels where it did partial malolactic and aged for 9 months. The fermentation in the barrel and the ageing on the fine lees give a perfect structure to the Redoma Reserva that combined with its acidity makes the wine quite elegant and deep. In the aroma with a very floral character in harmony with the barrel, in the mouth, it is vibrant and electric with a long and slightly saline finish.
