2018 Zambujeiro red
Description
This top-of-the-range wine from Quinta do Zambujeiro is a blend of Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes planted in schistous soil. Vinification combines tradition and modern methods. After ageing for 24 months in 100% new French oak barrels, it was bottled unfiltered.
The Quinta do Zambujeiro is located in the wine sub-region of Borba, north of Serra D'Ossa, enjoying a perfect microclimate for the production of top-quality wines. It was founded in 1998 by Emil Strickler, an enthusiastic wine lover. With about 31 hectares of vineyard, the wine is produced in its own newly built cellar, equipped with the best technologies.
