2019 Almaviva Puente Alto red
Description
Almaviva wines are the result of a partnership between Viña Concha y Toro, one of the largest Chilean wine producers with historical prestige, and Château Mouton Rothschild. The aim of this partnership was to create a premium French-Chilean wine of exceptional quality, which would be called Almaviva.
The first wine to be launched with this concept was in 1998, and soon afterwards they rose to international success.
This is a wine produced from the Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Carménère grape varieties from the 50 hectares of vineyard that Concha y Toro owns in Puente Alto, following classic French oenology. In this area, the terroir is exceptional for producing wines of great character, ready to compete with the best red wines in the world.
