Description

Located in the village of Saint-Andelain, three kilometres from the town of Pouilly-sur-Loire, Domaine Bonnard was bought in 1951 by the grandfather of the generation at the head of the business. Initially, it started with mixed farming and breeding, evolving year on year to now specialise in cereals and wine. Pouilly-Fumé is a dry white wine made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The name of Pouilly-Fumé is made up of two parts. "Pouilly" for Pouilly-sur-Loire, the village from which Domaine Bonnard wines are produced and "Fumé" is short for Blanc Fumé, which is the local nickname for the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety.
