Description
The Grande Rocim is a limited-production wine, crafted only in exceptional vintages from a rigorous selection of Alicante Bouschet grapes grown on the schist soils of Vidigueira. Deep and opaque ruby in colour, it reveals a complex bouquet marked by spicy, balsamic and ripe black fruit notes. On the palate, it displays remarkable concentration, depth and volume, supported by firm tannins and an elegant structure. The finish is long and persistent, highlighting its outstanding ageing potential.
Between Vidigueira and Cuba, in Baixo Alentejo, Herdade do Rocim has around 70 hectares of vines, 53 of which are red varieties and the remaining 17 are white varieties. Herdade do Rocim is characterised by its clayey, sandy soils and its criteria are aimed at the production of high-quality grapes.
The winery, a structural element of the project, combines wine production with the aesthetic quality of its architecture, acting as a marketing and promotional element, qualifying the region.
