2020 A Serenada Y14 Grauvaque Limited Edition red
Description
A Serenada Y14 Grauvaque red wine is made from Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Carignan grapes from a vineyard planted in 1970 on schist soils with grauvaque and clay. After fermenting in "spin barrels" and ageing for 8 months in stainless steel vats, this wine captivates with aromas of black and red fruits such as raspberries, redcurrants and cherries, with hints of pepper and vegetables, reminiscent of roasted coffee and liquorice. On the palate, it's complex and stands out for its balance between tannins and acidity.
The production of A Serenada wines is a family project carried out in the winery of the house, with soils naturally poor in organic matter and a strong presence of iron, contributing to the characteristic minerality of the wines.
