2020 Max Ferd. Richter Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenhur GG Riesling white
Description
The company was founded in 1680 after the first documented purchase of a vineyard plot in Brauneberg on April 17, 1643. With a winemaking tradition spanning over 300 years of family history, the company's motto has always been: "Great wines are made in the vineyard, not in the cellar."
In 1774, the founder's grandson built a beautiful manor with a garden in the architectural style of the time. Nearly a century later, in 1880, Max Ferd. Richter built a modern cellar that houses one of the largest collections of wooden barrels in the Mosel region. The company is currently in its 9th generation of family ownership, with a member of the 10th generation, Constantin MF Richter, actively involved in the business since the summer of 2012.
