Description

Alpha Estate Ecosystem Xinomavro Vieilles Vignes Reserve red comes from the Amyndeon plateau in Northern Macedonia, sourced from old vines planted in 1919. Produced with minimal intervention, using indigenous yeasts and extended ageing in new French oak, it shows depth and character.

It displays a bright dark ruby colour and a complex aromatic profile, with notes of sundried tomato, smoky dark fruits, strawberry, black cherry, liquorice and spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with ripe fruit, herbal nuances and well-integrated oak.

The tannins are firm yet velvety, leading to a long and persistent finish. A structured and sophisticated wine with excellent ageing potential.
