Vinha da Palhota Alvarinho & Viognier is a highly complex white wine sourced from vineyards planted on clay-limestone and schist soils, on gently sloping sites facing south-west at an average altitude of 360 metres. The continental Mediterranean climate, marked by a significant diurnal temperature range, contributes to the wine’s aromatic expression and freshness.
It displays a bright lemon-yellow colour. The nose is rich and intense, combining floral notes with citrus and tropical fruit, complemented by subtle nuances from 6 months of ageing in French oak barrels. On the palate, it is structured and enveloping, with pronounced acidity and minerality.
The wine develops into a very long and persistent finish, where freshness, minerality and complexity come together in balance.
