Description

Amaro (Italian for "bitter") originated in the 19th century in monasteries and pharmacies. Made from herbs, roots and citrus peels, it has a sweet, full-bodied taste with a mild bitterness from the herbs. It is a classic digestif, often served on the rocks or neat, but can also be consumed with tonic water.
