Olive Oil Extra Virgin Jardim do Tua 50cl

Quinta Jardim do Tua, founded in 1978, is located in the heart of the Douro wine region, bathed by the Tua River and offering a breathtaking view of the Douro River. This 23-hectare estate, run by the Jardim family since 2020, is dedicated to the production of extra virgin olive oils and reserve and grand reserve wines from centenary olive trees and vineyards over 50 years old.

Virgin olive oil is obtained from the fruit of the olive tree solely by mechanical or other physical processes, in conditions that do not alter the oil and which have not undergone treatments other than washing, decantation, centrifugation, and filtration, excluding oils obtained with solvents, with adjuvants of chemical or biochemical action or by re-esterification processes and any mixture with oils of another nature. After guaranteeing their genuineness, virgin olive oils are classified according to their quality, and may be classified in the categories of "Extra Virgin Olive Oil" or "Virgin Olive Oil".

Thus, the "Extra Virgin Olive Oil" category includes oils in which the quality is superior, possessing an intense taste and smell of healthy olives, acidity equal to or less than 0.8% and presenting no organoleptic defects.
