Madeira Barbeito Famílias Meio Doce 50 years
Description
Very few producers, and especially in Madeira Wine production, encounter such a revolution in their history as the one that happened to Barbeito. Being a supplier of bulk wines and from one moment to the next becoming a reference in the Madeira Wine region is a huge achievement, considering the strong competitors at the time.
It all happened in 1991 when Ricardo Freitas joined the family company and decided, together with the Japanese Kinoshita with whom they had joined, to turn Barbeito into one of the most important producers of Madeira Wines.
Another important change occurred in the Barbeito company in 1991, when, for the first time, wine production became the responsibility of a family member. Two years after Ricardo joined the company, he makes his first grape harvest without external accompaniment, thus building the perspective of forming a work team in which all its members pray by the same motto: producing quality wines with their style.
