Mezcal Del Maguey Single Village Minero

Del Maguey Single Village, comes from the mines of Santa Catarina, an hour from the village of Chichicapa. The family producers of this mezcal are Florencio Carlos Sarmiento and his sons Florencio Carlos Vasquez and Luis Carlos Vasquez, who are true masters in the artisanal production of this distillate. Del Maguey Single Village Minero is distilled in earthenware stills with bamboo tubes, which include a cistern to cool and recycle the water used in the condensation process. This results in a mezcal full of floral notes, vanilla, figs, and even burnt honey, with a hint of lemon. Deep and with a warm sensation, it proves sweet until the end of the tasting.

Del Maguey, Single Village Mezcal was founded in 1995 by internationally renowned artist and Mezcal visionary, Ron Cooper. Ron introduced the world to 100% organic and artisanal Mezcal, previously unavailable and certified. Through deep cultural relationships with indigenous Mexican Zapotec producers in the remote villages of Oaxaca, Del Maguey harnesses ancient and original organic processes. The combination of these methods with varying micro-climates and terroir gives each creation its unique, rich, sweet, and smoky character. Each product in their collection is made by individual family producers in old-style villages.
