Description

Don Amado Tobala & Bicuishe presents itself on the nose with aromas of monierais, rose tea and toasted red peppers. The exotic flavours of Earl Grey tea also have a place in the tasting, harmonised with notes of dehydrated orange peel, candied mango, cinnamon, and wood nuances that lead to a smooth, sweet finish with a lingering touch of black liquorice.

In the highlands of southern Mexico, the celebrated Arellanes family has been producing one of the region's most celebrated mezcals since the late 1700s.

This is a production that comes from eleven generations of continuous mezcal distillation with a legendary commitment to craftsmanship and experimentation. Thus, Don Amado is made from the inner parts of the agave, which are roasted on soil and, after being crushed, are fermented together with the piña fibres to obtain the rich character of the agave. The must is double distilled in small traditional ceramic clay pots and then matured in American oak barrels previously used for aging Pedro Domecq brandy.
