Quinta das Carvalhas Portos Colheita are created from a rigorous selection of wines from a single harvest, selected only in years of excellence, which demonstrate great potential for ageing in wood, undergoing a minimum ageing period of 7 years. Ageing in wood develops complex aromas and flavours, maintaining the original characteristics of that harvest, giving rise to unique and exclusive wines.

Real Companhia Velha is the oldest and most emblematic wine company in Portugal, with over 258 years of existence and uninterrupted activity in the service of Port Wine. Behind it, remains the record of fabulous history and a glorious past.

For the future, remains the will to maintain a high standard of quality of its wines and the confidence in a Company where rigor and the vision of making even more history are a constant concern.

Owner of some of the best Quintas in the Douro, Real Companhia Velha has been able to preserve and honour its tradition, betting on the future, through a constant process of modernization and experimentation in the Douro Demarcated Region.
