Located in the Dão region, Casa de Santar is a 17th and 18th-century manor house surrounded by hedge gardens, boxwoods, and flower mazes. The granite-built cellars produce high-quality wines in a 400-year-old historic structure.

With a strong historical connection to winemaking, Casa de Santar stands as one of the most iconic estates in the Dão, distinguished by the tradition, authenticity and nobility of its wines over more than two centuries. Surrounded by extensive vineyards, a rare sight in the region, it benefits from a unique terroir, marked by granitic and schist soils, rugged terrain and a climate with significant thermal amplitude, protected by the surrounding mountain ranges. Within this setting, the Vinha dos Amores stands out as one of the finest plots, where highly elegant wines are crafted from the Encruzado and Touriga Nacional grape varieties, frequently recognised and awarded both nationally and internationally.
