Tawny Port wines are fortified wines to which, in their production process, fermentation is interrupted with the addition of brandy. After this procedure, they age in casks or barrels, thus presenting an amber color, aromas of dried fruits, wood, coffee or honey. They are less full-bodied and sweeter wines, and when bottled they are ready to be consumed.
